how's everybody doing?
just wanted to get the previous journal out of the way.
and, saying "hi" to everyone who'd read my journals.
how's your 2015 been? what are your plans for the new year? what would be different for you then?
i'm also kinda planning on next year... but i do still have some projects in hand that i need to finish asap...
so, i'll be updating my own new year journal in a couple of weeks time.
this journal's just an interval... or one to get to hear what others have to say about their year and new year.

2022 wrap up
ok. it's the end of the year. gotta do some wrap up. i'm usually very lazy to do this kind of post, but 2022 has been a super crazy/amazing/exciting/challenging/happening year for me. i gained a lot. so take this post as an appreciation or conclusion of what went by, and what i gained/learned through this year. 2 things happened which was the most significant. 1) i curated an art exhibition with artworks from myself and my students. HUI Art Exhibition https://www.instagram.com/huiart.my/ with the sponsorship and help from my boss/friend thian. the exhibition was pretty successful with all around positive artworks, feedbacks, attendance and sales. boss is looking forward to making 2.0 next year. 2) as if wanting to out-do myself, a couple months after that, i took up the responsibility to be the coordinator for a full scale city wide ACG event in TORABERA fest https://www.instagram.com/toraberafest/ ! i've been a weeb /manga fan for long enough, but i've never spent too much effort

yes, i'm still doing this challenge, but i'm not following jake parker's prompts because of the controversy. i guess it downs the difficulty a bit, but i guess it's ok. this year, i'm doing sort of 'logo' pokemon drawings. you can have a look at my instagram page : instagram.com/khothongsoon as before, i'm gonna share them again here once i get to scan them. perhaps would not share all of them, but we'll see. :)
my fakemon that are kinda like officials
this is a little bit of self indulgence... with pokemon sword and shield out, i've got a few fakemon that are close in concepts with the official ones... a couple of them have been pointed out by some dA members too... i just want to list them out here, i guess. this one was designed for a contest/challenge... i didn't give it as much thought as most of my fakemon design. it's sort of like a snake that makes a shield from its body... the form is a bit similar to sandaconda. but the idea is not really close. :devfauxlens: said it's what falinks is inspired from. it's a funny thought. but i did design this thinking about how if you cut it, the divided parts will become individual lives, like earthworms or flatworms... so, yah. the idea of falinks is kinda similar here. of course, the form and what they are based off from are totally different. this one gets me, though... it's not that i claim all ice cube penguin monster design around the world... it's just that in my opinion

Hey bro, haven't seen any of your stuff for a while, good to hear from you. This has been a pretty good year, I've been way more successful with my daily challenge than I ever could have hoped for, I managed to make my first fully animated cartoons, and I got a pretty good start at Art School. It makes me bummed that my tablet is broken right now. Next year I hope to continue to grow in my artistic ability and make some more animations.
